Welcome to my university portfolio.
My name is Ailish, and I’m in my second year of my BA (Hons) Photography degree at Bath Spa University. My practice spans portraiture, film, digital photography, live music, and the occasional wedding shoot.
I’m currently working on a project that delves into the world of fiction and imagination—exploring how storytelling allows us to escape reality and transport ourselves to new, vivid worlds.
Looking to the future, I aim to establish an organisation that empowers young people through creative expression. My vision for this is to create a safe, nurturing space where individuals can learn to use cameras, explore their artistic talents and find a sense of belonging and community - especially for those who may be struggling with mental health or life at home or school.
The goal is to provide a creative outlet that steers young people away from negative influences and helps them channel their emotions into art through photography, writing, performance, or dance. Ultimately, I hope to create a supportive community where young individuals can freely express themselves and find a purpose.
